Most important thing I can do is to be self-regulated throughout the day! Shutdown, fleeing, avoiding, freezing, fawning, fighting are all signs of deregulation. Let’s self-regulate as this is our responsibility.
Begin incorporating your regulation skills into daily life—morning, evening, and throughout the day. Try choosing a different practice each day to build your personal toolbox of calming skills. Over time, you’ll discover which ones resonate most and can weave them into your regular routine.
With consistency, your body will gradually condition itself into a parasympathetic state of calm and safety, allowing a secure baseline to become your new normal.
